This report covers the major milestones the National Bankers Association achieved in 2024 through collaboration, policy advocacy, and the expansion of impactful programs. Together with our member banks, strategic partners, and allies, we have positioned MDIs for growth, sustainability, and increased profitability.

Key Findings From Our Quantitative Analysis Include:

​

• 8 New Members: We welcomed 8 new members to our Association across Native, Hispanic and women-owned banks.

• 80 Meetings with the Administration and U.S. Congress: We successfully engaged with policymakers through testifying at congressional committees and meetings with senior government officials on key issues impacting MDIs.

• 16 Letters and Comments to Policymakers: Our advocacy efforts included 16 official communications to express support or provide recommendations on critical legislation, regulations, and public policy changes affecting MDIs.

• 57 Media Features: Our efforts resulted in 57 articles, podcasts, and media hits that highlighted the NBA, its leadership, and member banks, further amplifying the voices of MDIs.

• 19 Virtual Sessions of Coffee & Conversations and 12 Co-hosted Webinars: We hosted various sessions to offer members partnership opportunities and discuss emerging industry trends.

• 22 Strategic Partnerships: The NBA forged 22 new partnerships with philanthropic and private entities to enhance MDI capacity, modernize operations, and expand access to capital.

• 3 Advisory Councils: Our advisory councils, focusing on next-generation customer acquisition, tech solutions, and strategic partnerships, brought together experts from financial services, fintech, and corporate sectors.

• 75+ Pro Bono Firms and Allies: Our extensive network of over 75 partners, including grantors, sponsors, and advisory councils, worked with the National Bankers Association to drive visibility, funding, and policy advocacy for MDIs.

• Sold-Out Annual Conference: Our conference in 2024 featured top regulators, policymakers, and industry experts, further solidifying the NBA’s role as a leader in community banking.
